IIT Mumbai third in country in NIRF ranking.
NIRF ranking announced by the Union Ministry of Education, IIT Mumbai third in the country in overall ranking.
MUMBAI - The Union Ministry of Education has announced the country-level ranking of educational institutions and universities and the top 50 universities include 6 universities from Mumbai and Pune in the state. Pune's Savitribai Phule University is at ninth position and Mumbai University is at 45th position. IIT Mumbai has managed to get the third position in the overall ranking of educational institutions. In the ranking of the best colleges, none of the colleges in the state is included in the top 50, Pune's Fergusson College (Autonomous) is at 57th position and Mumbai's Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work is at 69th position.
